Becoming

Becoming

A Poem by J.L. Gregg

I wanted you when I first gazed into your eyes
You locked me in and I was hypnotized
I knew it was wrong
They planned it to be right
I gave up and didn’t put up a fight
Giving into you was my first and last mistake
Now fate has taken over
And now it’s too late
My heart has stopped beating
My lungs no longer fill with air
I have no need for eating
And sleep is a distant memory
All I have is my love for you
To get my threw eternity and beyond
My mortal life is no more
My humanity is gone
What happens next is unsure
But what I do know my love for you is pure

Once again I feel the vampire in your writing...was that your goal? Either way very good. I do love the emotions I don't think you 'attempt at poetry' I think you've got it down!
Can't wait to read more.....
