Feasting On Springs Bounty

Feasting On Springs Bounty

A Poem by KATHY SUE SILLS

Miniscule caterpillar munching on a green leaf,

yearns to sip succulent nectar from seasonal bounty

Spins a cocoon, and falls asleep

When he awakes colorful delicate wings apparel his back

He takes fight, lands on a budding rose to taste sweet Spring

I like this. A very enjoyable poem. I've always enjoyed caterpillars and in what still seems like magic how they become something so vastly different, a butterfly!
