Feasting On Springs Bounty

Feasting On Springs Bounty

A Poem by KATHY SUE SILLS

Miniscule caterpillar munching on a green leaf,

yearns to sip succulent nectar from seasonal bounty

Spins a cocoon, and falls asleep

When he awakes colorful delicate wings apparel his back

He takes fight, lands on a budding rose to taste sweet Spring

Reminds me of a memory just a few days ago, when all the butterflies finally awoke and millions of them were flying everywhere. Nicely done.

A very enchanting and beautiful perfect for the coming spring. I think you did a great job on this poem. Love the image of the hungry caterpillar waking as a butterfly. Life does go on!
