Balancing Between Nothingness

Balancing Between Nothingness

Hidden in this nothingness pain presides.

Light in the tunnel moves further away.

Fear frozen like a winters pond threatens to break.  Numbness slowly traps a

depressed body.

Peace of mind is in a fog induced sleep

Yesterdays happiness fell into the depth of pooling sadness. Todays happiness drowns in over flowing tears. Tommorrows happiness never arrives

Obstruction blocks future happiness

from coming.

Sun rises, blackness still prevails.

Images without faces float in the darkness. Eyes can no longer see a solution. Death rides in on a thunder cloud.

A soul is restless like an erratic waterfall. Hyperventilation slowly dissipates oxygen. Images become distorted. Hysteria wipes away all function.

Masks are removed from objects.

Pills, guns, knifes, tranform suicide into a friend. Eternity of dreams whisper peace.

Dream catcher weave a better place to be.

Composition of happier days past gone constructs HOPE. Visions of what life can be again keeps blood pumping. Put Suicide to rest in a wooden coffin. Breathe in life. CHOOSE to LIVE.

CONQUER suicide!

I have fault depression, never to the point to seek suicide! Depression hurts the one who has it plus the people who loves them. Seek help, do not seek suicide!

Suicide is a hard subject. I was always too mean to think of suicide. I had two brothers who choose death over life at eighteen each. I wonder what thoughts could lead someone to desire death over life. Your poem told a tale of questions and a good ending. Better to see what we can do and be then seek death. Thank you for the excellent poem.

This work has touched me in a way that I cant describe.
I've lost a few friends to depression and the last one really hurt.
Thank you for caring enough to help others.

A very truthful and descriptive account of what occurs in our society by people who are desperately depressed and can see only one way out! Excellent poem!

Very true words. I fought and conquered depression not long ago, and although I still have some symptoms I am much better and I know in my heart that I have conquered suicide as well. Living is always the better choice, regardless of the situation. This poem expresses not only the feelings of depression but also ways to fight it and beat it. If only more people could learn this lesson before making the wrong coice. Thank you.
