Underneath Stitches Are ScarsA Poem by KATHY SUE SILLS
Stitches blanket a torn body A tapestry of wounds inflicted by life Each illustrates a story of suffering Crimson blood pools in inflamation
Lying words of love Never spoken in truth Heart needs mainteance Repair is nonexistence
Deception of beauty resonates inside a cinderella's mind Mirror mirror on the wall Whose the prettiest one of all Mimicks a dying soul Crown of self respect tarnish, falls like blacken ashes
Abuse covers her in blue Tempestuous hands Smoldering anger Cuts to the core She is broken, bleeding and alone
Betrayal of FAMILY, FRIENDS, the WORLD Traps her in a web of repugnance Looks upon her as nonentity A person that should never have been born
Her heart is opened A sign want you be mine visible to all that will read Stitches embroidery her exterior Underneath scars that band her from healing
