Shadow DancingA Poem by KATHY SUE SILLS
Morning comes, bringing lemon drop sun rays Shadows cast upon the dewy ground Effervescent birds swiftly fly, dropping down ever so often to meet their mate Wings brush aginst wings crafting a shadow dance
Red, yellow and orange leaves dangle from branches, swaying in the breeze Transpires a beautiful shadow dance as each leaf falls delicately in the wind Imbued joy fills the scenery
Flowers lift their blossoms Petals open to greet the world Join in on the inauguration of a new day Impetuous shadows dance display a stunning show Wooing of pleasure come from nature sounds
Butterflies gracefully glide, take their turn in the spot light Figures entwine, triumphantly forming immense shadows of dancing
People awaken Step out into the day light Tranquillity washes over them at the beautiful sight Feet tap as they to do the shadow dance
Sun slowly descends Darkness draws the curtains on the stage Tapestry of shadows slowly disappear Slumber calls an end to another day, until the sun rises to light up the stage once again © 2011 KATHY SUE SILLSAuthor's Note
