Halloween MurderA Poem by KATHY SUE SILLSFor the creative poetry group.
Lost in the hollow woods Biting cold wind nips at skin Lips quiver, but no sound escapes Full moon plays hide and seek
Wolves hang their head back in a grouling howl Bare branches cast frightening shadows Feet stager as they try to make their escape Something is coming
Eyes as red as crimson blood hunt her A face of a blood eating creature It makes no sound But she can sense its presence
Fog rises from the cold ground Fear etches on ashen face Death is near, Clawing at thin air
Hallow ground has to be near Wind blows a chilling breath Eyes search, but cannot see Hands out stretched she walks on
A blood cruling scream pierces the night An unseen hand grabs her long black hair Red eyes glare at her Hot breath touches cold cheeks
A loud hideous growl deep in his throat beakons death Halloween night brings another murder Her lifeless body lays on the ground He vanishes into thin air UNTIL..... Next Halloween
