Emotional Mother Nature

Emotional Mother Nature

A Poem by KATHY SUE SILLS

The moon and stars were hidden in the somber sky. Dawn turned into morning time, sun did not shine. Rain fell from darken clouds as Mother Nature let out her soulful cries. Branches out stretched limbs tried to give Mother Nature an affectionate

embrace, but she could not be consoled.

The world became forlorn.

Wind blew in a cantankerous fit. Thunder rumbled, lightning

flashed furiously. Tornados whirled on the ground, seething destruction.

Was Mother Nature having an emotional breakdown?

The rain storm ceased. Flower blooms opened their petals in jubilant relief. A gentle breeze blew a delicious sweet scent. Birds tweeted in perfect harmony as a

magnificent rainbow appeared. The golden

sun came out from hiding. Mother Nature smiled upon the earth, what can I say I'm a woman?

Mother Nature can take care of us. Or she can destroy us. We need to take care of her. Need all people to be kind to the planet. I did like the poem. The ending made this a excellent poem complete.
