Picture Perfect

Picture Perfect

A Poem by KATHY SUE SILLS
"

Another love story gone bad!

"

Times passed gone serenades a lonely life

A hallow heart is all remains

Eyes ache for just one more look of beauty

Lips hunger for her sweet taste

Hands yearns to hold that delicate body once again

The present time with her is gone

A future has vanished too

Past is all he has left of her

Pain lulls momentary,

Then comes back stronger than before

Each lady portrays her

He realizes the best is gone

A picture perfect woman made a picture perfect life

Body tremors from withdrawal

Addiction of lost love

Visions of what was teases dreams

Pride keeps words unspoken

The darkest hour is now and forever,

Since her love became obsolete,

Died like beautiful flowers In summer heat

Clock is broken,

Cannot turn back time

Days left to live in an unperfect world,

Since his picture perfect life turned into

a picture perfect memory

A sad poem. To be left with flowers and no lady is a bad evening.
"Visions of what was teases dreams

Some wisdom can be learn from this poem. Need to express your love and try not to be negative. A excellent poem.

Dark and despondent! A nicely developed reverie here.

One can certainly feel his pain. As if standing right there watching his face contort as the images of his past, perfect love slip through his mind and remind him of a better time that he cannot for all the money in the world, get back to. I weap for this man, for I have been there too. Very well written piece. Painful read as it may be there is a beauty in it as well...!

Ouch, this really hurts. The heartache of it all. This is a really good poem.

Very sad. The pain of missing someone is awful. I feel for this guy, a very emotional write, and I enjoyed it.

It takes a while to move on after a loved one has died. A part of you goes with them...nothing and no one can replace them but life goes on, can the person hurting left behind go on as well. Very nicely done.

I have to admit, I see too much of myself in this poem.
It's a pain-filled poem. He's robbing himself of his
present life, while living in the past.

There is such an aching here.. a lingering of that which was wondrous once... now so distant and only found in memories.. Beautifully bittersweet...
