"We've got this gift of love, but love is like a percious plant. You can't just accept it and leave it in the cupboard or just think it's going to get on by itself. You got to keep watering it. You've got to really look after it and nurture it.

John Lennon

Shall we gather our strength

Try to save our marriage

Make it what it once was

Sprinkle some love

See if it will grow

Flourish it back into a beautiful rose

Let us not lay blame any longer

It was a two way street of destruction

My antic ways caused you so much pain

You paid me back with your shenanigan ways

Our behavior nothing but puecile

Loki god of miscief became our closest friend

Each strived to see how much hurt we could lash out

Showers of love became like a drought filled relatinship

Shall we desseminate love?

See if it will grow

Cosmos is still waiting to wake up

Let us warm it with our solar heat

Revive happiness once again

let divine hope carry us through

Our affection for one another became scarely

Hearts became torn like a withering flower

Vows we treated trifling

Can we put nirvana back into our marriage?

A path of loveable seeds we need to sow

Deep in the abyss of our heart and soul

Water and nurture daily with.....

Kisses

     Hugs

           Kindness

                   Making love

Beatific will blossom in time in our levity hearts

Shall we try?

This was 2 challenges for the creative poetry goup: I took both and combined and made one poem. The words are in my tag box I had to use. The other challenge was to pick a quote which is at the begining of my poem and write about it!
Tell me what you think!

Great job! Wouldn't it be nice if people would live like this and try to keep their relationship going? Well written!

You did a fine job of defining and separating the differences between love and hate in a relationship. You managed to pinpoint the emotional differences without over expressing your thoughts.

I love to look at any sour relationship as a cherry coal gone cold that needs to be reunited with the fire.

Enjoyed the quote from Lennon, as for the
poem, I can relate to this for sure. Great
description and depth of a marriage gone
south and trying to rekindle what once was...

A vast work across the ages and sages of life.. and an intimate glimpse into the soul.. and the sharing of two lives entwined forever. Beautifully conveyed!
