Spoken Message From FlowersA Poem by KATHY SUE SILLSFlowers come in all assortment, each has a message to bring!
Flowers grace every corner of the greenhouse. Array of colors as soft and beautiful as a springtime rainbow. The brilliant appearance was breathtaking as an early morning sun rise splashing the sky.
She stood just inside the greenhouse. The delicate blooms whisper to her, a language all their own. Each flower holds a special place in her breaking heart. The gorgeous earth apparel with their sweet fragrance beckons to her.
Tears puddle her cheeks as she fingers the Lavendar Rose flower. The scent tickles her senses. Love at first sight it speaks to her. Cupid's arrow hit her right in the heart the first time she laid eyes on the man she now calls her husband.
General Primrose, he gave her one night. He whispered, "I love you and can't live without you." She had flushed with joy as he bent down on one knee, held out a Spider Flower and asked, "will you marry me?" With a solid color Carnation in full bloom, she had held out to him and whispered, "yes."
Peony Flowers decorated the church for their wedding, tells of a happy marriage and life they are going to have. Honey Suckle Flowers entwined in her hair symbolized their bond of love.
Bird Of Paradise he gave her on their ninth wedding anniversary was romantic and beautiful. Passion Flowers Showered their bed as he laid her down and made passionate love to her.
She stops in front of the Purple Hyacinth that conveys the message I'm sorry. Gathering a bundle, she holds them to her heart. Pain chokes the breath from her chest. If only to be given the chance to speak her own words of sorry, turning to leave she stops as she sees him standing there with a bundle of Purple Hyacinth flowers.
Moment by moment a flower is given out of love. A symbol of affectionate, passion and romance. A breezing fragrance that can speak softly and tenderly to a soul. © 2022 KATHY SUE SILLS
