Mother Nature's Magic

Mother Nature's Magic

A Poem by KATHY SUE SILLS
"

Natures way of changing!

"

The sun warms the chilled morning air.

Waves waken the earth with a gracious hug.

Creatures so jubilant, as darkness fades into light.

Exuberance sounds can be heard in the hallow oak tree.

A Robin twirls through the air gracefully.

Butterflies floating effortlessly from flower to flower, the fragrant aroma of Spring is here.

The sky is a brilliant shade of lavender blue.

Swelling white clouds drift slowly about.

Appalling shadows streak the deep blue sky.

Rays of sun trailing little light, the earth becomes

translucent, a storm is brewing.

The wind begins to murmur a soft breeze,

pulsating through the trees,

every branch dances to the symphony.

Fractured of lightening luminates the clouds.

Thunder echoes through the wind,

as it picks up a strident sound.

The heavens open up, droplets of rain plummet.

The weather becomes enraged.

Creatures take refuge in their homes,

shielding themselves from the storm.

Serenity of the morning becomes undetectable.

Inexplicably the wind falls silent.

The sun wakes up from its slumber.

Blue sky peeks out from the darken clouds as

they fade from view, as does the storm.

Over in the cornor of the sky a tapestry of a rainbow comes to view, casting off its pastel hues.

Mother Nature has restored tranquility.

That was utterly fantastic. This has got to be my favourite poem of yours so far. There is just so much feeling and emotion being portrayed in this. It is very fluent and professionally written, too. I loved how you were able to create such a picturesque seen with the differences between the weather formations; they're so intricately described, you can almost picture them happening right in front of your eyes, reading along to this. It was wonderful to read

Passing storms turn blue to grey, then all at once turns back again, you captured all the shades of grey within your lines then mixed them with the rainbows hues to bring tranquility to spring time again :O)
