She stands on the outside looking in. Often times a whispered prayer escapes her lips, wishing to... Have friends Go to parties Be beautiful Have money Fit in
She's poor in wealth by comparison to the rich, but abundant in love. Hand me down clothes is what she wears. While they wear designer clothes. She settles walking or riding the bus to school. They cruise around in sports cars.
They hover over her with smirks on their faces. Mouths open ready to spew out cruel words. Rag girl Trash Stupid Wannabe
Swelling tide of woe washes over her, dampens her soul like dew dampens the earth. Exasperation burns inside her, heart overflows with shame.
She doesn't understand why they can't see the good in her. She may not be rich with money, but she's rich at heart. She has.... Kind eyes Gentle hands Loving heart Always ready to be a friend, but she stands on the outside looking in.
