Labor Pains

Labor Pains

A Poem by KATHY SUE SILLS
"

A mother raising her kids!

"

When women have their babies

labor pains they must go through,

they have to breathe in and breathe out!

Once their babies are born their

is sweet relief, but little did they

know their labor pains has just begun

mother's have to breathe in and breathe out!

Mother's nurture and care for their children

hoping they will go walk the right path to adulthood,

but sometimes they go astray

mother's have to breathe in and breathe out!

Once their children leave the nest

mother's pray that their children will try

to do their best in life, but mistakes are made

mother's have to breathe in and breathe out!

When their children marry mother's cry

with happiness, and when their children start

to have babies of their own

mother's breathe in and breathe out!

Each mother sighs with relief,

knowing that their labor pains is lessened,

but little does their children know

that their labor pains is just begun

now they must learn to breathe in and breathe out!

I never looked at labor pains going on and on like this, it is so true of course what you are pointing out to us. Interesting poem I liked it.

its very true. i have never had any kids of my own. but my two youngest siblings are a lot younger than me and i basically have been taking care of them and being like a second mom to them since they were born (they call my mom "mommy" and me "Angie-mommy". lol)
its hard trying to take care of kids and hoping that they will make the right decisions and just always worrying about their happiness and their safety and just their general well being.
its really made me think about waiting a long time before becoming a mother myself. i love children, but i don't know if i would be a good enough mother and if i'll ever be ready for that responsibility to raise them right.
