Lost And Found

Lost And Found

A Poem by KATHY SUE SILLS
"

Finding your way out of depression!

"

Depression is evil,

It affects many!

Your lost within yourself

with feelings of despair.

Your turning every which

way within yourself hoping

to be found!

Depression is weaking,

you must dig for strength

to find your way out!

You feel breathless as you

put up a fight.

Never give up for there is

a way to be freed!

Friends, family, and

even doctors can help,

all you have to do is ask.

 Don't forget about God he

is always there to guide you

out!

Depression IS evil. I agree as I also have suffered from it and fear I will again in the future. It seems to be a topic so many are drawn to when they see someone has written about it. Your words are helpful and uplifting. Glad you wrote it.

I like this scream against depression! It gives depression a good knock about. Yet! the reader gets the impression that depression is active in the writer and this poem shows the wrestling match that is going on within the writer. I really like the way the third last line brings in God as the ultimate cure. Shows what a fighter depression is. Well done to "imagination101" this poem holds the reader!

I agree it is a bad place, I too suffer from it. Have done all my life. I thought i had got through it, i was reaching that bit of light but did not quite grab it. Thats why I have turned to writing. But you are right, friends, family are there, not sure about god, no offense and have a lot of respect for those who believe in him.

Though, this is good and wide opening, supportive to others! Thank you!

This is an amazing piece. You dove into the core of this emotion
and given a part of it to each of us. The best work always puts
the reader into the shoes of the subject, and you put on a workshop
on how to use this technique.

Very well stated. Sometimes the best cure for depression is helping someone else.

Powerful, uplifting message. Too many people just let it swallow them up, but never think that life does get better.
