Marriage

A Poem by KATHY SUE SILLS
"

Diamante poem

"

Marriage
      engaged, wedded
eloping, marrying, lasting
vows, honeymoon, separation, parting
dissolved, nullify, ditched
estrange, disunite
divorce

Gee
Married 29 years this October, no magic formula, plenty of give and take and a wee bit of tongue biting on both sides :)
Tis a beautiful thing if you find a mate for life

Never been married and I'm not sure I want to be. I've seen the divorces, the fights, the cops being called. Though I know that doesn't happen to everyone, I'll hold off. :)

I am with you, never been married and don't plan on it! Thanks for the review!
They say marriage is like a pack of cards. In the beginning it's all hearts and diamonds. In the end you need a club and a spade. Of course not all marriages are like that.

Thank you for your kind review!
All the fun of the fair. A carousel ride. The highs, the lows and the very low lows. That'sive for ya.

I think Disney's princesses have much to answer for. The while love conquers all fairy tale...

Sentiments well expressed.

Thank you!
I have experienced the second half of this...in essence, three times.
Ain't love grand?

Well, it always is at first...wonder why for so many it wears off.

I like how the poem is shaped like a diamond...clever irony there.
