![]() The DayA Poem by Imagedden![]() An amatuer's reflective ponderings written on the anniversary of 9/11.![]() It was on the day of September Eleven That humans sought solace from heaven The day that spawned the nadir of menace The day of the devolution of evolution The day that David used planes instead of a sling-shot To give the Capitalist Goliath a perpetual forget-me-not The day a convenient means of transport spread subliminal discomfort across the global cohort Perceptively held as such a faithful servant Transmorphed in a nano-second to that of a catastrophic tyrant The day which should have embedded a cultural scar Yet achieved something else quite bizarre This day illuminated the inability to decry the human spirit Irrespective of how many times you bombard it But most of all, it should have been the day of summation In that dehumanisation is not a resolution to any solution
