You and Me

You and Me

A Poem by A. Star
"

So a friend fo mine likes this girl, and he has FOREVER and I don't understand. But attempted to write a poem from his point of view. Have fun.

"
I wish you could understand the emptiness inside
If you cared enough to look, you’d know I’ve nothing to hide
I’m crazy about you, why aren’t you crazy about me?
Your feelings fluctuate just like the tides
Look at me; can you see to my soul?
Or is ignoring my feelings really your goal?
Sometimes, I want to just fly away
You changing your mind is taking its toll.
What could I do to make you want to stay?
If I get down on my knees, if I beg and I pray?
But truly, I don’t see why this is one-sided
If you really want me, why try and hide it?
Let me be with you, if I may
I’m sick of my brain and heart trying to fight it.
The shine in your eyes, the warmth of your smile
You make every day seem less like a trial
If only our feelings could expand even further
I wish you were ready to cross the friend border
I can’t stand to wait, and play all of your games
Even if my feelings won’t seem to change
I guess this is it, the attempts are over
I just wish these thoughts wouldn’t remain.

Hmmm, very sad feelings you have here. I hate relationships that end like this
