Optimism (I Laugh)

Optimism (I Laugh)

A Poem by Erin Was Here.

I laugh

when you say that the world is depressing;

With broken dreams and flat tires,

Shattered hearts and limp flags.

I laugh,

because I know

The world can't be all that bad.

The world has you.

I like this positive poem. Easy to see the bad things. A wise person will see the good in their life. A excellent poem.

Erin! Great work! I love the freestyle of it, how there is no rhyme scheme, no line pattern, and no exact form, because you leave it up to the reader to take it in whatever form the want. Great job, Miss Poet. ;)

Shattered hearts and limp flags." brilliant lines, i love the image of a limp flag compared to a broken heart.
it symbolizes lifelessness. the poem has an uplifting feeling. thanks

Love this! The ending is perfect. It's adorable and you should keep it the way it is. Just my opinion. Short and sweet. Great poem! :)
