I enjoyed this one and the way you expressed it. It is choppy, which I think in this situation is a good thing. It is a thought process of someone dealing with a bully, so their minds would probably not be flowering up the words at all. I really hope this has never happened to you. Bullying is such an awful thing to happen to anyone. Brilliant job my friend!
thx. but like, it so highly UN-possible that someone doesn't get bullied at least once in their life.. read morethx. but like, it so highly UN-possible that someone doesn't get bullied at least once in their life. with me, i just had a minor case. all over once I memorized "are your malajusted anti-social tendecies the product of your berserk pituitary gland" from calvin and hobbes. they respected me from then on.

Society asks the wrong questions often. Instead of "stop the bullying" which society has lately claimed (along with social media) perhaps we should be asking...can integrity and courage be gained without adversity? Can patience be earned without trials? Think of all the "great" men the are lauded as legend...would Abraham Lincoln be loved without the horror that was the Civil War or Martin Luther King Junior without the prejudice and bigotry that drove a nation into a civil rights struggle for its soul? We want no challenges or hardships...no adversity or prejudice in today's society...nobody who thinks or acts differently from the prescribed social norm. But I tell you that in removing those trials and adversities we are systematically creating a nation of weak, feel sorry for me because I am entitled to respect without earning it... losers. Adversity is good. There was NEVER anyone considered a hero that did not have a challenge to face and the courage to rise up and confront it. I believe in freedom. I believe in freedom of thought and freedom of expression. We used to say, "Sticks and stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me." Now we say..."Stop the bullying" We used to have "Head Start" and now we have "No Child Left Behind"...it seems to me we are losing ground along with all our self-respect, courage and all the tools that build tolerance, patience, integrity, courage, tenacity, hope and heroes. Just my thoughts. I enjoyed the read.
keep writing, Amy. this wasn't my favourite of yours. I've read this poem a million times, versions of this exact poem. you haven't wrote a million times, fair enough. not my favourite, but keep writing. you like writing. you're great.

I don't know. wasn't my favourite. but whatever. what the hell do I know.
