Bye, Bye Baby.

A poem about my dog Rocky, whom we had to put to sleep today....

Baby has gone bye bye.

Baby is no more.

Baby has gone bye bye,

Flew straight through heaven's door.

 

I miss you baby.

Come back for a moment and be gone once more.

Suffering and pain are not your friends

I'd rather remember how you were from the beginning,

Not your frightened shivery form in the end.

Or the stiffness of your body, after they injected you,

after your soul left.

 

Empty in my heart.

Dark matter all inside.

Come together and collide with angry lead butterflies.

 

Blow up butterflies,

rip apart and melt away.

Bye Bye Baby

Your soul refuses to stay.
