BUUUUUNNNNNGGEEEEEEE!!!!! JUMP.

BUUUUUNNNNNGGEEEEEEE!!!!! JUMP.

A Poem by Tyrae'
"

Heights

"

It's a little past noon

It'll be our turn soon

We're almost next in line

We're hurriedly comforting each other

"We'll be fine, we'll be fine!"

My legs are shaking

I'm afraid of heights

I was so terrified of this

That I haven't been able to sleep right

For the past three nights.

"OHGOSH"

I whisper

As the first couple goes down

The beginning is so intense that they don't make a sound

They laugh as it's finishing up

I shudder

Like a newborn pup

Suddenly it's our turn

We're already strapped in and ready to go

"Tell my family back in Georgia I love them"

Is what I want the world to know

We're being pulled up,

Yanked by the cord.

We're laying parallel,

Facing the ground.

The ground hovers under me

I'm up so high

And I know that this is the point where I should close my eyes

So I do

But my sister won't let me forget

She's constantly screaming

"WE'REGONNADIE,WE'REGONNADIE!"

My eyes may be closed

But I'm still yelling for her to,

"SHUT THE HECK UP!"

I know it won't work, but I just want my way

Just because your eyes are shut

Doesn't mean the image goes away

I can feel it now

We're slowing down

We must be at the top.

Since I'm already wet from the waterslide

I allow myself to let a little pee drop.....

Down below

They countdown from three

My sister is begging the guy to hear her plea

"DON'TPULLTHECORD!!!"

She screams.

The guy next to her refuses to listen

He tells her, "LETGOOFMYARM!"

This Asian guy's on a mission...

And it's clear that he's not chickening out

No matter how much she screams and shouts

I prepare myself

While they're debating

I'm thinking, "Where the HECK is my Superman?"

I was counting on him to do the saving

After all the preparing

Nothing prepares me for the shock

My mind went blank

As I felt myself

DDD

.

.

.

RRRRR

.

.

.

OOOOOOO

.

.

.

PPPPPPPPPPPP

We fell so long

That I swear I blacked out

By this time, none of us could muster a shout....

Finally we reached the bottom

Feeling disoriented and free

Like an attorney in the courtroom

Our faces remained solem

But look in our eyes filled with glee

My sister and I took one look below us to see

The man who dared us

And made us want to flee

We stared this guy down

And we screamed....

"IN YOUR FACE DAAAADDDDYYYY!!!"
