You are a lit fuse, The spark silently slithering Then hissing into a crescendo With all the notes tangled In the detonation of who you are, Who you conspire to be. Your match has been struck On the same asphalt Where I once laid a wreath of oaths Strung with fragrant poetry. In a swift flash, You and I could only sieve through the rubble, Mirthless in our understanding That a heady mix of promises drenched in scotch Could just ignite like daylight before dawn. I prefer having total strangers comment on my work rather people I know. I have no idea .. more..Writing
