Uncooperative Imagination

Uncooperative Imagination

A Poem by illusionedWind
"

I wrote this while sitting on my hospital bed dying of boredom.

"
I'm tired, lonely.
This hospital drains my energy.
My only savior is imagination,
so, in my desperation
I turn to it for inspiration

I close my eyes, tightly.
"OK imagination, heres
your cue, you understand?"
I open my eyes, and...
Nothing.

Hospital walls still stand,
I'm still tired, and not
any less lonely. Darn it!
"Why aren't your working?!?"
I wait...Nothing.

OK, playing hard to get.
I know this game. Immature,
but I'll play along. Once again
I shut my eyes. This time
means business.
