Give Me More.

Give Me More.

A Poem by Krista Irene

Busting through the window frame,

My thoughts of you grew numb.

Your love was gone from my brain,

and your name fell off my tongue.

My belly burns with a hate so deep...

my cries for you echo in silence.

Vociferously- my heart shouts.

It begs, it pleads for you. Asks what you’re about.

Your wicked eyes make me fall to my knees.

I have no one.

No one. No more.

But there you are-- your words

a tropical river that I want nothing more than to dive into and swim a while.
