Turquoise, Turquoise

Turquoise, Turquoise

A Poem by Krista Irene

And when my world stops spinning,

Where will you lie?

On your face,

In the dirt?

Or looking up in my eyes?

My fate is yet-- only a gentle caress

from the hand of death.

Will you cradle me close?

Whisper to me- the secrets of a turquoise paradise?

I’m getting dizzy, now.

But the turning is slow.

It will stop any minute now…

Will you then let me go?
