You Scatter My Senses

You Scatter My Senses

A Poem by Lena
"

Ive heard it said, the only way to get rid of a temptation is to give into it.

"

You Scatter My Senses

I didn’t see you coming, didn’t feel your presence

Didn’t sense your nature, your quintessential essence

You disarm my defenses

You assault my being with your appealing physique,

Yes I am seeing, the intent of your resolve

Have all my barriers melt away and dissolve

You, you rattle my nerves and you unravel my reserves

Hypnotized and drawn by your flame, those dancing embers flickering deep inside

I fall into the fathomless depth of your eyes

With only your touch, I whimper, in ecstasy I cry.

Like the warmth and glow of burning Coals,

Like the Power in an eruption of Pure Black Gold

Inviting, yes Inciting an answering explosion from the Fire in my Soul

Mesmerized and intertwined in this passionate dance.

In the throes of temptation, should I, should you, should we risk that chance

Yes you make “Dull” the sharp “No” of my response

You devoir me, Nullifying the negative and making unsure my position, my stance

The implications of your touch, the devastation of you embrace

I become as the blind, lead by the rhythm my heart’s pace

The consequences of this Lust

Carefully consider and do not rush

Oh how you draw a forbidden response from me, I squirm and I plea

Yes, the heat from my nature rise, and I become focused on the prize

Should I unleash the beast that lies within?

Release that Alter-ego and DAMNED the Sin?

Enamored by your mystique, Enraptured by your expertise, your technique,

I long to be taken by your restrained savagery,

With intense actions, achieving multiple points of satisfaction,

Provoking in me an answering reaction,

Oh please let me express my gratification

Needy & Greedy is this desire to be fed

So long on this journey we both have been led

To the table for feasting, engorged and pleasing

Should we delve into our repertoire of love making tricks?

Consider our obligations amid this addiction; we’re caught between and betwixt

Enticed and entangled, we’re captured and enthralled

But, Exhilarating can be the ride that leads to a terrible fall

In the wreckage and in the wake, there’ll be no solace left to take

The overwhelming sensation will be that of Fear

Now stop, think long and hard before you dare

Too late it will be for despair, too broken, too damaged to repair

The repercussions would harm those for whom we say we care

Please, listen to your instinct; take heed this warning, “STAND CLEAR”

Yes, you scatter MY senses but let your Senses BEWARE!

I am really not a poetry fan but Shawna sent me to read this. And I absolutely loved it! It's so raw and real and I must say, I can relate. As, I'm sure, many of us can. I love your voice in this poem and the way your desires pour out. It's hot and sexy and it's absolutely fantastic. Keep up the great writing!

This is a great piece of work! Skillfully crafted word and rhythm, sensual yet abrupt. The consequences of giving in to lustful temptation .... one of the most difficult to ignore and potentially deadly not to.

Excellent!
