The Lonely ButterflyA Poem by Iliana Peters
I wish that I would get away,
I crave to flay away, To anywhere but here. Because you, Who is so lost in their own space, So ready to give up their place, Will soon disappear. You're a butterfly on a stormy day, Getting pulled down by the rain, Your wings flutter and you're struggling to be free, And you're half way dead, But you lean on me And your sadness once caught my eye, Now its stripped me of faith as the times gone by, You wont let me be, I won't leave you alone, You're my only place, I'm your only home Blood pouring from your veins, You've done it before, You'll do it again, And if the white light keeps flashing up, At least slip away quickly, All the best of luck. And if you do get away with a smile on your face, If you finally do it and you leave this place, Then please don't haunt me, No more ghosts in my room, Let me live my life peacefully, Let me live me life soon.
