The Loop of Wounds- I Ended it at Last

Hurt people hurt people. Thirst for revenge from both sides: the one who hurts and he one who was hurt. The roles switch and ironically the one who was hurt, brings that pain to the other.

They threatened you so now you stab me first.

Because you’re scared my push back kills your thirst

Of longest vengeance, seen on planet earth.

I’ll take the challenge, I will be the worst.

Put you in agony forever- cursed! 

Or blessed.

Cause joy should fill your nest

As one good thing you did, that brings the fest:

You ravaged me of amnesty and grace.

And now it’s easier for me to feel the angst

Without remorse or feeling of regret

For not allowing you to take another bet

On making change, for better, like you said.

Alas! 

You can’t. Not by yourself.

So I’ll take charge instead.

I’ll make you harmless, turn you into best.

Your past distress is ill, you're cankering the rest

It’s not your fault, it’s nature. I am next.

As it’s my turn to wreak, and yours to be the vexed.

That wound still bleeds... I hope it drowns the wisp

You have for my forgiveness,

The way it drowned my faith in your agape.

I’m almost done. Quit begging! It’s too late!

I had no choice, you started all this dread.

You were the one to hold the torch of flame.

I saved the village burning you with hay.

Am I the enemy for staving off your plan?

Who’d quench the fire? They’d just wait for rain.

So I’ll prevent your lust, I’ll save the day. 

You stabbed me first, I buried you in pain.

To be ensured you bring no other ache.
