Always a ThursdayA Poem by Abigail Alliahstory and rhyme scheme inspired from 'Paintbrush', a poem in Chicken Soup for the Soul on Love and Friendship. But its still my own story. Each day i live more lies, wherever i may go
i carry fake things with me so the real me doesn't show
i'm so afraid to tell you all the things i feel inside
afraid you just won't understand and from me always hide
but believe me i'd like nothing more than to show you the real, true me
but you can't imagine how i fear you won't like what you see
but if you show me kindness
and tell me that you care
i will begin to be open, and with you, my secrets share
riend, though i'm very flawed,
you've loved me very true or showed me deep in you and hate to call youjust friend and i hope your heart can mend
while mine is having trouble, i pull back out the lies though my own nights fill with cries because i feel that we have changed though i don't know whovto blame that night something was awkward, and all i hope is you don't feel you need a paintbrush too © 2008 Abigail AlliahReviews
