Lift my Spirit

Lift my Spirit

A Poem by Abigail Alliah
"

A seemingly endless search for motivation came to a hault.

"

The dread keeps creeping, but i know I can stop it, somehow.
I gotta stop thinking everything has to be perfect.
It'll be worth it.
Can't let go now.

It's now more than ever that I can be free
My drive is relifted
As long as I insist it
I can be what I want to be.

I think complaining relieves.
I can't seem to lay it all out
Make nothing to cry about
Without creating reprieve.

Keep that hope from above
Find the right time and place
It's worth it
Find all motivations to reach my perfect
Never lose my fill of love.

This perfectly encompasses what i'm was trying to say to myself, the motivation that had lacked words.

A beautiful poem. You can feel the emotions behind it, and it was clearly more than just pretty words. You projected true voice in this poem, something that is incredibly hard to do. Thanks for sharing!
