In Loving You

I love you

You complete my being, my soul, my life

I am overwhelmed, astounded by the love you feel for me

Am I worthy of such undying love

You've done so much for me

For me

I, who had been living my life as I wanted

living my life as though I gave me life

Yet you still loved me

You loved me before I was born

And you will love me 'til the end of time

and beyond.

How can I explain that

How do I explain that

You, being purity itself

didn't ask for much in return

All you want is that I love you back,

wholly, completely,

with my whole being,

in every area of my life

 

And this I have to say

Loving you has made me whole

Loving you has kept me pure, sanctified, satisfied

Loving you, Jesus, has kept me pushing on, never giving up

Loving you has kept my faith stronger than ever, made me shine

In loving you, Jesus, I have found favour in the eyes of men

In loving you I render myself fully committed to you

with my whole heart, soul, body and spirit

Lord Jesus, in loving you, I declare myself yours

Forever,

and beyond.
