Wolves and Lambs

Wolves and Lambs

A Poem by Igor G. Balatsky
"

Having seen 'The Stoning of Soraya M.'

"

What makes us wolves?

What makes us sheep?

Who knows?

I wish the lambs had

Fluffy wings to fly with

* * *

He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

(John 8:7)

What kind of man are you, if you can kill the innocent,

taking refuge in the name of God?

(I. G. B.)

We may be human... But we're still animals.

(Steve Vai)

We follow blindly , sometimes we wolves sometimes we sheep .

i imagine the sheep as the masses, just following the rest of the others without individual thought. and i imagine the wolves are the ones who exploit the sheep, use them, and devour them. i agree, i wish the lambs had fluffy wings to fly away from their physical and spiritual captors and being sacrificed.

I hadn't heard of this movie, until now, thank you for pointing this out. It is so sad, the way that women are treated. I too wish "the lambs had fluffy wings to fly with."

I haven't seen this movie, and I don't know the references except John 8:7. But I like the poem. Some of us are both wolves and sheep. I too wish there were "angelambs".
