The legacy

The legacy

A Poem by Igor G. Balatsky
"

from ‘The Book of Bloom and Fading’

"

The word unsaid

the song unsung

the work undone.

Should I leave you

to my rightful heirs?

Should I

take you with me

on my way

to the red dying sun?

Someone said very similar words to her parents way back, but, of course, not in such remarkably moving words.

Your thoughts mirror my own, thank you for writing it all down in your wonderful poem, Igor. I know from experience that life can be cut short. I no longer put things off, for the future is just too uncertain.
