Basically

from ‘Catfish by Name’

 

Basically,

life is a kind of dreaming,

said my friend named Catfish.

Being a winner means

making your dreams come true.

Otherwise,

you dream away your life -

and you’re a loser.

 

But,

on the other hand,

having reached

all the goals and dreams,

you lose the meaning of your life

and, as a result,

become disappointed and

miserable.

It also means that

you’re a loser.

 

So

what would you choose, my friend?

 

Daydreaming, I said.

Even though it’s a pipe dream.

 

A kind of test, he smiled with joy.

Be blessed by it!

I like how the title is in the very first line, it's the first word, when you look at a title you expectt it to give you insight as to what is yet to come, and that's exactly what you have done, the very first word in this poem is the title. I liked that.
