Remembrance

Remembrance

A Poem by Igor G. Balatsky
"

A sonnet-renga from 'Hanamichi'

"

Candles of chestnuts

Burn in my mind and my heart

Not in the gardens

Daffodils' fragrance

Dwells in the light of spring bliss

Now and forever

Spring lively beamed with delight -

Autumn's in fire

Where has May disappeared?

Willow is crying

Author's Note

Igor G. Balatsky
one my early experiments in 'album sonnet-renga', when
I used to count syllables: 5-7-5 / 5-7-5 / 7-5-7-5 (dactyl)

Beautiful thoughts ..
We may have said it with different words, in English .. but they would have not been more beautiful, than yours .. ...

I don't understand. The last verse is 7-4-6-4. Maybe you meant something I don't see.

I think it's "Where 'has' May disappeared."
Nice seasonal images.
