The Story of Vio and CelloA Poem by Igor G. BalatskyFrom 'Dreamland' (2011)They were born long ago in two different countries. They were made by the hands of two different masters. They could not meet to sing as a marvelous duet: in the cage of unfreedom they were dreaming of it as an air castle of theirs. And they heard their voices for thousands miles. And they longed for the song in the dead of the night, when the whole world's falling asleep. They sang their duet - the tune of true love, the Saga of Vio and Cello, which was heard by the heaven and stars. And it sounded as a prayer about the day of bliss, when they joined their bodies together, throwing off their shackles of bondage, casting off their chains of the duty - and sang in full voices at last... Many years have passed, lots of water has flowed under bridges. But they are still keeping on singing - two purest voices of Viola and Cello, the sweetest taboo for each other. Can you hear this song at the break of the day, when the dawn is being born again? * © 2012 Igor G. BalatskyAuthor's Note
