silent
A Poem by
Igor G. Balatsky
from 'Footprints in the Sand'
you're
keeping silence
as if
you disappeared
from
this world of
the
galanty show
you're
keeping silence
as if
I were dead
as if
we both melted
in
the sweetest dreams
to be
together
can
you hear
the
voice of my heart
which
is unable
to
stay deathly-still
and
gentle rain
of
silent longing prayer
that's
falling down
from
my lips
about
you?

Lovers, real lovers, always live as though they are the only two people in the world. But that is only my definition. I love how soft yet fiery this poem is.

It is hard and maybe impossible to see shadows .. But our hearts can still hold them .. and we can pray they can hear .. and hold us ..
I love your thoughts .. Jasmine

The emotion and hunger for a response from the heart of the other is almost heart-breaking. The frustration for change and healing are also big sentiments that echoe through each line, searching for resolution and a respite from the strain. Good poem.

This is beautiful, especially the last verse. It conveys so much. You are able to use language in a very subtle way.
