horizons of dreaming

from ‘The Island of Slumbers’

 

still I can find a common trait

in the essence of dream and horizon:

no matter how fast I am striving for them

they DO not become closer

and heart's being tormented with doubts

if I can reach point of my destination -

and meet you, my faraway love

yet most important for me is to know

that I still have got them both -

even thou' my dream's unattainable

and I am not destined to breast

the finishing tape of horizon

It has always been my greatest fear to actually attain what I crave for...not because I am afraid that things won't turn out as I want em to...but because I wouldn't have anything left to crave...why is the heart so scared of happiness?
