30 000

30 000

A Poem by Igor G. Balatsky
"

from ‘The Reflections’

"

*

thirty thousand

daybreaks

and thirty thousand

sunsets:

so many

to learn how to live

so little

to learn how to die

Each is part of the whole: felt to the highest point and used wisely is inexplicable magnificence. A simple poem is food for thought, the best poem is a feast.

To live past age expectancy .. is a gift .. .. My friend passed at 101 yrs. of age .. her last words were .. "I Want More" .. .. She loved life so much, I don't think she ever needed to learn how to die .. .. her journey was kind and gentle .. as she deserved .. .( But I understand what you are saying here).. .... I think if we learn the right lessons in life, death then is not a dreaded ending, but a new beginning .. ...

I often think in moons, rather than years, it makes living seem more tangible. I like the concept behind this.
