Older

Older

A Poem by Igor G. Balatsky

OLDER

My eyes

are getting older every day -

and less distinctly

they can see

your faraway mountains

on the distant horizon of dreaming

My body

is getting older every day -

and it's become

so difficult for it

flying to you every night

as a moth

But it doesn't concern

my deep-loving heart

which sees you each instant

and my evergreen soul

that will never get tired

of drinking your spring

tenderness
