Here and now

from ‘The Way of Grass’

 

While we were dreaming

of happiness

our bliss had been lost.

While we were dreaming

of loving

our love had been gone.

While we were dreaming

of freedom

we had become slaves.

Author's Note

Can we live today? Are we able to be now? Sometimes it is so difficult. We have stuck in our past. We feel anxious about the future. And we doubt in the eternal. But we have clearly forgotten that 'Forever is our today'.

I wrote a poem, one line was, Worrying about tomorrow, I forgot to live today .. ..

It is good to have goals, and good to dream , and to remember all the joy of past times .. but we can't dwell there .

I have even said it myself, "I'll be happy when .." I like your words, they remind us to not wait for life to happen, seize the day .. believe in now ..
