A Poem by Sarah Ramsbottom

" i recommend reading the required reading.
somewhere in the text is the answers you seek.
the prolog and the preface, the spaces and the type face
the list of people reading, the authors that are dreaming
the quotes, and top sellers lists.
Public referance, public forums, and book club meetings.
its in the black and white text there... for everyone to see"
is it wrong the have this target on my chest?
bulls eye over my beating peice of meat?
everyword you speak is like a dagger
digging deeper in.
constant lashing of forked tongues
the poison spilling out...
is this the loving you give to everyone?
the anger of a heart done wrong
in a life full or spite from a wounded one...
no cause in the effect you seek
no power to change these things?
A bloodline to tie to
to keep this heart afloat
the lineage with a weakend link
