A Poem by Sarah Ramsbottom
"

journal entry

"

this is how the heart hollows.

the rain it pours through the cracks

dreg out the debris of the walls torn down

inside the rubble piles high

glass shards, and jagged edges

this is how the heart hollows

and a life starts over

in shattered dreams and empty memories

emotional dust and verbal wreckage

emerges new growth

the fires high and tides rip forth

this is how a hollow heart moves on
