I wish I could drink up this flood

I wish I could drink up this flood

A Poem by Sarah Ramsbottom
"

reflection.. "should I stay or should I go?"

"
have asked myself some pretty ugly questions about this all in the last 24 hours.

And somehow Im not sure how they all add up. )

In god we trust, so i was told.

In hope we lay our lovers words.

In beds made of lies, i watch as the sheets burn.

If the promises where kept.

If the promises are met...

I lose me in the shuffle, living life from my mental backpack.

Take what is need, trade what is not... and move along.

I carry our world on my back, no rest for this soul.

Sex cant be the only contection..

I lust for the mind.

Truths are like tides, they move in and pull back out.

In god we trust....

In love we are found.

Until someone pulls the building blocks out from under us.

I look for safety.. and I find something else.

I looked for you.

I wish i could drink up this flood.

derailed...

detailed...

its some where in the pink.
