this i found in my mind

this i found in my mind

A Poem by Sarah Ramsbottom

unstated
these words with two meanings
held on
slipped down
these words crashing like water on rocks
a tidel wave of makeshift emotions
a third glance
no chance I can catch your eye
almost symbolic
almost iconic
listful, lustful, bashful,
these moments of increased panic
all tied together with a pretty red bow
humbled, dumb founded, shattered
these pieces always seem to fit
toxic heart strings
intoxicationg bloodline
one sip, youll survive
smoke and mirrors
like a box without a lid
to open, no escape
exit through the rabbit hole
chasing myself
cause your never anywhere to be found
a new world without a leader
the defense system down
growing weaker by the second..
troops falling out of line
I can watch
decline
but the heart your kicking..
is mine

Wow the ending is just so ridiculous-in an amazing way. It hit me with its sadness. Just so vivid in its imagery. Thank you for sharing this.
