A Poem by Sarah Ramsbottom

I cant rememeber where this began.

The down fall, the lost hope

I cant rememeber when I felt the rain..

but got carried out to sea.

These flood waters are moving in fast

removing everything in its path...

our love?

My heart could melt your world..

if the current could stop us from spinning

Static on the line, static in our souls

I can hear the screams, I can feel their fingers try to pull me down

try to pull me under

The water keeps rising,

And the cold keeps setting in.

(The currents has got me in a choke hold)

(Our current has got me in a choke hold)

My heart could melt your world..

if the current could stop us from spinning

Static on the line, static in our souls

(The currents has got me in a choke hold)

(Our current has got me in a choke hold)

I can melt your world, with those simple words...

but how do I shut the flood gates again?
