Quieter Moments

You know, you're beautiful.

  The one who stands with their head down, afraid of

                    the sunlight.

You, who in quieter moments, shines brighter than most.

            You may think you're not enough.

                                   but you're wrong,

Just because you don't take center stage,

                         Just because you stay quiet

And though you shouldn't be scared to be seen,

                    being happy out of the limelight,

       Makes you a rarity.

 What you have to offer is hidden behind the curtains,

                    behind smiles and laughter.......

                                 the way you evade questions.

To those that don't know you, you've become a game,

          a puzzle to figure out,

                   With no purpose other than to solve or expose you.

But to those that took the time,

       These things, these small pieces of you, are mere details,

                Meant to be enjoyed, but had they never existed,

  These people would love you all the same.

Because you're beautiful,

            You're deeper than just the surface.
