What is that Sound?

What is that Sound?

A Poem by Ifreakinloveyou

What is that sound?

 Is it the rain?

Is it water falling from the skies

Or is it hopes shattering at the ground?

Maybe it’s hope waiting to be found

Or maybe it’s love running all around.

If we’re drowned by love, is there really sorrow?

But what if it’s our dreams that are crashing down,

  What will become of tomorrow?

Will it sail freely on the sea,

Past everything we ever dreamed could be?

New shores and tides, the impossible.

Or will it sink,

Ridden with cannon holes only to become obscene?

What is that sound,

  Is it the rain?

Great movement! From the simplest of thoughts to a deep fear and despair; then back to the simple again. Love it.
