WHEN I DIE......

I want to be remembered with love.....

WHEN I DIE…….

When I die

I do not want to be remembered as a hard worker

Or as someone who did just enough to get by.

I want to be remembered as a lover,

A lover of God, of life and of people

And of the beauty of the world God did provide.

I want my love to be remembered as something true and deep

This is how I want to be remembered when I die….

I want to be remembered for bringing peace.

Not how well I cleaned or bought about order,

But how I dried someone’s tears or made someone’s heartache cease.

I want to be remembered as me, because I am not like my sister or brother.

I want to be remembered for my love of God the Father and his only son.

I want to be remembered for living by their example and grace.

So when I do die and my final victory is won,

I want to die knowing that I left my world a better place

Because I gave all the love I have inside of me,

Condemning no one and letting everyone be who they are

But hopefully teaching someone else to see

That they have to let everyone else be their own star

And love because it is the most important thing that God gave away

When I die, I want to slip away like a butterfly

Here today and gone today

That is what I want to happen, when I die……

I actually don't think its incomplete...I think you made a very good statement about what you want your life to be and portrayed it very nicely.

The incompleteness is there. I might suggest that memories exist on both sides of eternity. On the one side, memories of living loved ones and heirs, and on the other, memories of everything accomplished in the name of love. While your focus is upon the memory of a life lived and the written or remembered legacy of it, by earthly residents; there is also the heavenly legacy. This might give the piece a feeling of being secure in your faith, and sum it up nicely.

Just a suggestion.....

It's really nice, I think that is how we all want to be remembered at the end of the day, but the question is whether we work towards achieving that or leave it as wishful thinking.
